How to Intermittent Fast:

Ideally, the best results are achieved when you eat your daily meals within an eight hour time frame each day. Yeah, that's really all there is to it.

There's no counting calories, no exercise... just eat all your food in 8 hours each day – the number of times you eat a meal does not matter – as long as it isn't junk food (processed foods).

Typically people still eat 3 times per day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Yet other people prefer to eat 2 times per day but larger meals.

Sure, you can dive right in, but to help curb the initial hunger start slowly. Slowly but surely increase the time of breakfast, for example, from 7 o'clock in the morning to eventually noon.

So that eventually you break your fast at about noon. I say slowly because most people if I tell them to start at noon tomorrow, they'll say they can't because they're too hungry.

But if I ask them to change their breakfast from 7 to 8 o'clock next week, and just do it for 5 days, and take the weekend off – anybody can do that. Then each week you can eat an hour later until you reach noon. Understand? This is real easy to do.

Eating meals in an 8 hour window allows for a fasting period of not eating. By not eating for 16 hours each day (sleep time is included in the 16 hours too) it increases ketones and uncouples mitochondria – highly.

Alright, the next way to increase mitochondria uncoupling is by eating a 'ketogenic diet'.

Ketogenic Diet

What is a ketogenic diet?

The very name 'ketogenic' means to produce ketones. So a ketogenic diet is a ketone producing diet plan – simple. And as you previously learned, ketones are the good guys that trigger fat burning, so we want to produce alot of ketones.

The ketones produced by a ketogenic diet consistently helps in increasing mitochondrial uncoupling, a process where the mitochondria in our cells become more efficient at converting stored energy (fat) into usable energy (heat). This process allows for a higher metabolic rate and increased fat burning.

Therefore the most effective diet for increasing mitochondrial uncoupling and promoting ketone production for rapid fat burning is a ketogenic diet.

The ketones from a ketogenic diet is a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet that shifts the body's primary fuel source from glucose to fat. Yes, it's a Moderate-protein, High-fat diet with, basically speaking, no carbohydrates.

...Eating approximately 70-75% of daily calories from healthy fats, 20-25% from proteins, and carbohydrate intake must be LESS than 50 grams per day. (30 grams of carbohydrate foods per day is even better.)
  1. Low-Carbohydrate means must eat LESS than 50 grams (30 grams is even better) per day.
    Note: Exceeding this amount will not produce favorible results.

    Example of Carbohydrate foods are: All breads, pasta, rice, potatoes, cereals, peas, corn, fruits and any sweet sugary foods.

  2. Moderate Protein means to eat approximately 20% to 25% of calories from proteins per day.
    Note: Protein powders can be used if no sugar or carbohydrates are added.

    Example of Protein Foods are: All animal products, such as, eggs, beef, pork chops, steaks, chicken, bacon, fishes, cheeses (including cottage cheese).

  3. High-Fat means to eat approximately 70% to 75% of calories is from healthy fat per day.
    Note: Do not cook with bad fats, which are oils in a bottle – instead use butter or lard.

    Example of Fat foods are: All fats that come from animal and some plant products, such as from, eggs, butter, avocados, lard, heavy creams, coconut oil, walnuts, full-fat yogurts.

As you progress into a keto diet, you'll start to burn fat and ketones as your main fuel sources. If done properly (as outlayed above), the ketogenic diet is very effective for rapidly burning fat and promoting ketone production. It's one of the fastest methods to uncouple mitochondria to burn body fat (off hips, thighs and belly) faster than normally would be expected.
